The Wildlife Habitat Council’s Reimagining the Corporate Campus pushes corporate entities to embrace biodiversity through the way they manage their corporate campuses. Corporate spaces can be productive wildlife habitat that helps connect fragmented suburban spaces in addition to providing aesthetics, recreational space, stormwater management and connection to nature for the surrounding community and workers. Practices on a benefit gradient are presented all the way from reduced mowing on the minimal effort end to removing invasive species on the high effort side of the scale. In between the two, activities like providing native landscaping, conservation education, providing avian nesting habitat and control of stray and feral cats, are offered as additional ways corporations can improve biodiversity and provide wildlife habitat. The publication is sponsored by BASF, which is partnered with WHC on the Initiative for Natural Corridors to provide watershed health and bird corridors.
