Making a difference one garden at a time. Rain Gardens for Nashville was created in 2010 through a partnership between the Cumberland River Compact, Metro Water Services, and Nashville District of the US Army Corps of Engineers. The initial goal of Rain Gardens for Nashville was to plant 300 gardens in Nashville by 2012. Since then, the Cumberland River Compact and its partners have far surpassed that goal, planting gardens at residential homes, schools, and businesses.
