Los Angeles’ program to provide commercial landowner incentives for California friendly low-water, stormwater infiltration friendly landscapes.
Los Angeles Department of Water and Power launched the Landscape Incentive Program in 2009.LADWP has re-launched the Turf Replacement Program effective July 15, 2015. Approval of applications will be on a first-come, first-served basis and subject
to funding availability. The program involves replacing turf grass with California Friendly plants, mulch, and permeable pathways. Since turf grass is very expensive to maintain, requiring heavy water use and lots of attention, the California Friendly Landscape Incentive Program is a great way for both residential and commercial LADWP customers to save money and, more importantly, save water.
